The night is not just here to sleep. Although I really love sleep because….
Sleep is one of the easiest ways to help you lose body fat.
It regulates your hunger hormones ghrelin (which makes you hungry) and leptin (which tells our bodies how full we are).
Too little sleep and ghrelin goes up and makes you more hungry
Too little sleep and you have less leptin and leptin is the hormone that tells you to stop eating
Short sleep — usually defined as fewer than 6–7 hours — has been repeatedly linked to a higher body mass index (BMI) and weight gain.
Getting enough sleep may help prevent increases in calorie intake and appetite that can happen when you’re sleep deprived.
In an ideal world you'd aim for 7-9 hours a night of sleep.
I find rather than setting an alarm to get up, setting one to actually go to bed helps me ⏰
